Deep~Sea 🌙 Merfolk
Ancient legends tell of merfolk that live deep in the dark cold trenches of the ocean. They would hunt shallow water creatures in the darkness of night.  Some elders recount them as menacing; wreaking havoc in underwater cities, looting and stealing whatever they could. At times even stealing and consuming the bodies of drowned sailors. No one knows exactly what they look like. Some legends say they are dark in color, some say they are transparent, and others report glowing skin and scales that illuminate the darkness.
But no one has seen one in centuries…
