There are no riddles here; the question is straightforward, yet there is something under the words that is sharp and deadly. Hurt him, it seems to say, And I will rejoice in your death.
Cor looks at the Dancer, at the First King who stands behind him.
“I would,” he says, voice soft and assured, “I would.”
The Dancer grins, sharp canines glint in the light of Cor’s torch. “Stay till dawn,” The Dancer invites, “And we will see.”
(Dawn comes and the Scourge flees both the First King and the Dancer’s face. Staring back at Cor is the Chancellor of Niflheim, and takes a good, long look at him and sighs.
“Regis is going to kill me,” he informs Ardyn.
“Why is that?”
“Because I’m having an affair with an enemy politician.”
Ardyn raises an eyebrow and smirks. “Oh? Are you now?”
“Yes.”
“Alright,” a voice interrupts before they can go any further, “No flirting in front of me please.”
Cor turns to look at the Dancer, he can see the family resemblance most of the coloring is the same but the Dancer’s features are softer, his skin darker than Ardyn’s. Ardyn is pale even without the Scourge, without the Scourge the Dancer’s skin is a pretty, sand, brown.
The Dancer tosses a lock of wine coloured hair out of his face. “What?” he teases, “Coeurl got your tongue?”
“Are you alright?” Cor asks, because despite the fact that the Dancer is pretty and deadly and able to move Cor has noticed before that he moves as though it hurts to walk.
It’s more noticeable without the Scourge.
“I’m fine,” the Dancer says, “But oh, we’ve never been introduced properly have we?” The Dancer bows at the waist and grins, “Jean Izunia, at your service, or as you may know me, Jovan Izunia, son of the Chancellor of Niflheim.”)
