After examining my waistline, and then taking a hard look at my average opportunities to get good exercise - I have decided to follow my mother's example and give up sugar. With maybe one exception per day.
...it's not going well so far. I never stopped to consider how much of my favorite/most commonly consumed foods use sugar, even if only as a *preservative*. Where shall I get my sweetness from?
