…Bennu carefully does not add that Leia took charge of her education post-Yavin - meaning that the former Tatooine resident completed her academics via correspondence course and private tutors.

The reasons for this are twofold. First, Bennu honestly is curious to see how Council will react to the news that she is ‘uneducated’ - and their subsequent treatment of and attitude towards her. (She expects to be disappointed-  Bennu is REALLY not that terribly impressed with them.)

Secondly, Bennu is a troll. (It is a time honored Unfathered - and Tatooine - tradition!) Anakin, at least, should realize that there is quite a bit in the things she does not say.

This map is the perfect illustration of why it’s important for people of color to vote.

I was playing around with FiveThirtyEight’s Swing-O-Matic (put the results in 270 To Win because they’re more visually intelligible). Basically, I adjusted the D/R split for each demographic to align with more recent polling, then slightly adjusted the turnout for each.

With no change in white turnout but 3-5% increase in black, Latino, and Asian turnout, this is what the map would look like this November.

Do you want Donald Trump to lose? By a lot? Do you want to well and truly shut him and his white nationalist cult the fuck down? Then vote. Tell your friends and family to vote. In four years, hopefully we can afford to go back to having the option to be cynical and stay home if we don’t love any candidate. This election is too important.

If this was a normal election, you could live with waking up halfway through the next President’s term and being like, “This person sucks, but so do all politicians.” But you don’t want to wake up thinking, “I could have helped stop fascism from taking hold in America, but I decided there was no material difference between being led by a centrist and legit-ass fascism. I hope there’s another election someday.”

Another Kylux AU, this one based firmly off of @solohux‘s exiled hux AU, but with added omegaverse nonsense because that’s how we (@iainkillsrobots and I) roll.  Hux is hauled off into exile in the wake of the Starkiller disaster- left to rot on an icy planet far from civilization.  By the time Kylo finds him, he’s been stripped down to the bare essence of survival- and he’s viciously opposed to returning to the people and the organization that he thinks betrayed him.

But like soothing a feral animal gone savage from need, Kylo works his way through the layers to find the core of Hux as he knew him, still there- and hiding a desperate secret. 

Malnutrition.  A persistent chest infection that just won’t go away, no matter how many soothing soups he can make out of animal bones and fat scraps, and which leaves him coughing new and exciting colors every day.  Windburn that leaves him looking and feeling like some diseased street-beggar, except there is no begging of kindly passers-by here- only an abandoned fort that he managed to hammer into a semblance of weather-soundness before the big snows came, and what he can catch with his bare hands.  No one is stealing this command from me, he mutters to himself, when he can laugh instead of despair at his situation.  Who would want it?

And under it all- a skinny seven-months’ belly, that by rights should have been long flattened with hunger.  And that, almost entirely alone, is what convinces him to listen to Kylo’s seductive words and accept his gingerly offered ration-packets.  A soothing touch.  The promise of medbay, and food on the regular.  This is what pulls him back from the brink, not the loyalty of his troops and officers or the offer of the rule of the First Order on a platter, along with Snoke’s head.  I wish I had known, the Force user whispers, eyes wide without his mask.  I would have crawled out of the bacta tank and come here without a stop, had I known.

Hello, I am Jermaine and i am the father of Bryson, who was born at 28 weeks. The reason I am asking for help is that it’s extremely important to me and my family that we have the means of  transportation to get to the hospital and back to visit him as much as possible until we are able to bring him home. We do have a vehicle but the transmission has failed and needs repairs due to driving back and forth 60 miles one way so much. We don’t have the money to get hotels, the hospital does let’s us stay the night sometimes to help. With maxed credit cards and overall exhausted credit we can only pay for rental vehicles for a day or two maybe every other week when it’s payday. Please help us, pride can’t help me any more. Trying to figure out not only how I’ll see my son but now feed my family.
