Puerto Rico is about to face a blackout for SIX MONTHS due to Hurricane Irma
Guys, this is no fucking joke. I got family in Puerto Rico right now and this power outage means I might not be able to get in ANY contact with them for the next few months. That means no phones, no internet, no electric /at all/. I won’t even be able to check on them to see if they’re okay. Not to mention Puerto Rico is literally surrounded by water, rivers, lakes.
Seeing how there’s been major deadly floods in Houston, Nigeria, and South India, I’m almost sure we can expect flooding in Puerto Rico as well.
I’m worried for my family and my friends, not just for the natural disasters but the overall state of Puerto Rico economically as well. During this power outage a lot of people are gonna lose jobs, they’re gonna lose their homes, and I personally feel powerless as to how to help.
Please keep Puerto Rico in your minds and hearts and don’t forget to support them in any way possible in the near future.

If you can’t evacuate here are some tips.
Buy life jackets immediately a lot of deaths are from drowning. If you have a kayak, canoe, life raft, keep these near you they can come in handy.
Do not swim. You will tire yourself out especially if currents are going against you.
Have ample flashlights on hand.
Once the hurricane passes. Get on top of your roofs. Use flashlights at night and if on hand any pots and pans during the day.
Tarp and rope. You can use tarp to make a temporary repair if anything comes down.
Do not turn the power on if there’s flooding!
Do no drink water that hasn’t been previously stored! Assume that all water has bacterial contaminations (yes this goes for tap water as well if you have no other choice boil it first)
Don’t pick up trees, wires, debris, nothing.
Do not use charcoal or generators indoors!
Sand bags can be used to help prevent flooding.

Okay so…I wouldn’t make this message until I deemed it as an EMERGENCY.

My college money wont arrive until NEXT month, which leaves me now 2/3 weeks without money. And I cannot lend money from my parents.
I never expected to be in such an situation, and normally I NEVER ask for money, and I’ve always created my content for free.
I am an video editor, I create videos on youtube, I often work a lot of hours on these videos and if you feel inspired or If you like my content, and ONLY in this case I decided to open up a Ko-fi page for it.

That’s not the right IRS rule.
$599.99 is the amount below which a business does not need to issue a 1099 to a contractor who provides business services. The contractor still needs to report the income on their taxes.
The correct number for the IRS rule for money that is gifted rather than received in a business transaction is $13999.99–more than that, and the recipient has to pay tax on the gift and report it to the IRS. Less than that, and there’s no taxation or reporting requirement.
If we’re choosing amounts on the basis of IRS limits, give these people $13,999.99.

Ok, firstly while I love the concept of Anakin Skywalker as Iron Man, I just can’t see this working quite the way you set it out…
See our point of divergence is post TPM, when Anakin is rejected from the Order - that immediately means several things:
1) He’s not being sent back to Tatooine alone. There is no way either Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan (depending who survived) is going to let our little powerhouse go untrained no matter what the council says! And even if for some reason they couldn’t, you can bet your ass Palpatine would jump at the chance to “foster the dear boy”.
2) He’s still a 9 year old boy - a genius yes, but one without immediate means of capitalising on his potential. Recall that Tony Stark didn’t start from scratch, he had his father’s fortune to draw from. Anakin needs time, stability and some start up funds to even start to consider financial revolution.
So ok, little Ani isn’t going to be a Jedi, and neither is Obi-Wan (let’s keep it as canon as we can for the moment, as much as I love Qui-Gon lives AUs it does make things more complicated). What to do?

and when her old husband, king Minos, found out,
he cried out aloud, “what the fuck’s this about?
I do not like this half-bull child!
I do not find him meek and mild!
He keeps on eating all my staff!
I think he does it for a laugh!”
The queen was upset by her son’s attitude,
for eating the servants was really quite rude,
and although she still thought that she’d be a good mother,
there still was a risk that he’d eat his own brother.
“I do not like this minotaur!
I’ve never heard of one before!
I do not want him any more!
Let’s build a maze beneath the floor!”
As Minos had asked for, a labyrinth was built
and the minotaur lived there, not stricken with guilt
for the people he ate were now sacrificed there,
and he dined on their flesh without any despair.
