MoF au idea

What if, when Alucard fought the demon thing (the one he encountered before Simon), he lost. Then Simon stumbles upon this vampire being tortured by the demon thing and well, something about him seems familiar, so Simon rescues him. By then, poor Alucard is traumatized and they’re both wandering around Dracul’s castle with Simon trying to help him heal. Then, eventually, they stumble upon Dracul who freaks when he sees Alucard who still hasn’t healed from his wounds/trauma

Between a hunter and his (dead!?) son, his son wins. Hopefully. Although Dracul might decide to take the ‘expedient’ route and kill the hunter before he can pose a threat to either vampire - which would result in Alucard throwing himself in front of Simon, probably shouting something along the lines of ‘touch him and die’

hahahaha. right off the bat, October and November were terrible. I lost my job the day before my birthday. (my former boss didn’t like me, she was very open about that and was digging for reasons to fire me. What i was told after that is that she had been telling people for days that she was going to fire me even though her boss had told her not to. but that’s the past, and it’s best that was considering she wasn’t a great person to work under.) I got a little help from my friends that helped me pay for groceries and the rest of rent I couldn’t afford but as it stands, i can’t afford rent for november. I got lucky and a few days ago i got food stamps, and state health insurance so i don’t have to worry about that but.. I’m almost 500 dollars short on rent. Rent is 535, and I have some money from my mom. But I’m still 480 short on rent, that’s due on the 3rd. what i’m asking for is some help. find my paypal here Any help is great, and I know it’s a bad time because holidays are right around the corner, but i will pay you back, because that’s just how i am. 

the good news is is that i’m half way through the process of getting a job, but it won’t start until almost december because it takes 3 weeks to get hired. which doesn’t help me considering rent is due in two weeks. I knew i should have done this earlier, but i was holding out for unemployment. but it could take up to 2 more weeks to get paid out. (my final determination letter said I WILL get paid out. but now it’s just the waiting game.) so between that and tax season, i’ll pay you back, i promise.

For the first time since the Fall, Lucifer is actually genuinely happy in a wholly innocent way. Because this, this is what he wishes that he and his brothers would have had, a happy, healthy, normal sibling relationship where there were no co-dependence issues and where one’s loyalty to their siblings was not at odds with their loyalty to their parent and they ended up having to choose between them. 

It actually results in Luci calling off whatever shit he is pulling in favor of spending time with the new Four. Which they cautiously agree to because hey. If he’s spending time with them, he is not causing chaos. It ends with an ice sculpture contest between Holly and Lucifer. Fun is had by all. 

(After the first meeting between Luci and Richie in his apartment when Luci was seeking confirmation that Richie was his nephew, Richie probably immediately called his siblings in a panic. Because if Luci knows about him, he might know about them and he needs to know that they are all right).

I LOVE IT. Newt sensing Percival is his mate, somehow, and fussing all over him because he’s super protective of him and he wants to meet him but Percival won’t wake up. Newt curling into his animagus form - a wolf pup - and strumbling on Percival’s bed to curl up next to him and keep watch in his sleep. Newt, in human form, growling instinctively when humans try to touch Percival and heal him, even if he knows they’re only trying to help. Newt softly caressing Percival’s hair, wishing desperately his mate would return the gesture. Newt starting to build a nest in his case, for them to snuggle together once Percival feels better, hoping Percival will accept him. If only he’d wake up.

Let’s talk about Disney’s Pocahontas…

Disney’s story of Pocahontas is based on the story of a young girl named Matoaka.  Matoaka was actually a real Native American child. However, when Disney stole her story, they whitewashed it to glamorize the relationship between her and John Smith and erase the real trauma she endured. So, let’s clear some things up.

First, let’s start with the differences in age. In Disney’s story they have her at the age of 18. However at the time of their meeting, she would have only been around 10 years old. 

Next, let’s clear up the famous relationship. Even though Disney focused on John Smith and Pocahontas’ relationship they never really had one. According to Mattaponi history John Smith and young Matoaka (Pocahantas) were never involved. In Disney’s version, she threw herself in front of John Smith to save him from her father. However in reality Smith was honored and given a title by the chief, so there was no need for her to actually save him. 

Disney spun the rest of her story in many ways to ensure the erasure of what really happened to this Pocahontas and make it seem like a heroic journey but here’s the reality:

 Her tribe, the Powhatan endured suffering at the hands of the colonists. Native women and children were raped and others were murdered. 

At age 14, Pocahontas married a warrior son of a chief and had a child. At age 15 or 16 her husband was killed and she was kidnapped, leaving her baby behind. From there, she was raped repeatedly. She had a child named Thomas before finally being married to John Rolfe. 

Not only did this young girl endure being kidnapped and raped, she also endured emotional abuse. She was often told that her father did not love her because he did not come to save her. Eventually she was forcefully assimilated and converted to Christianity. She then took the name of Rebecca. She died when she was around 21 years old. 

As you can see, Pocahontas isn’t just a made up character. She was a young native girl who had her story stolen and glamorized.  Disney whitewashing her story is erasure. It doesn’t make it okay and it does not make what this child endured go away. You play ignorant and try and pretend that the character are separate, but just because Disney changed the details doesn’t mean they are separate people. A child who endured trauma and rape is not yours to play dress up as and she’s certainly not yours to sexulize. Have some respect. And no, native people you don’t get a free pass on this. Native people deserve more than the only representation we have to be a whitewashed version of a young child which promotes native erasure.
