Fic idea that @stonefreeak and I came up with, in which Obi-Wan has to go undercover as a con man, and ends up being Too Good at the job. He ends up being SO GOOD that no one ever even finds out it’s him, which allows him to continue going on missions in which he has to play a con man. 

As a side effect, Obi-Wan ends up collecting information that becomes useful to the Republic in the war, and the Republic becomes aware of his con man persona as an informant for the Republic–but no one knows who this informant is, or that he’s even a con man, since he’s only ever conning other criminals. So Obi-Wan just keeps doing this con man thing: scamming criminals, sabotaging dangerous operations, collecting information about said operations to pass on to the Republic, and never being caught.

This is inspired by nothing more than the “Ten Commandments for Con Men,” which is full of rules Obi-Wan would be frighteningly good at following.

How long before Obi-Wan is assigned a mission to ‘apprehend an informant vital to the continued security of the republic’, aka his alter ego?
