I imagine, that after they first bond the realization they are on opposing sides hits them as soon as Drautos or someone tries to grab Nyx and Ardyn-

Ardyn doesn’t growl or threaten Drautos but his eyes darken in a way that almost promises violence because that’s his Guide and he’s so caught up in things not hurting, not being overwhelming and the solid raging fire of Nyx in his mind that he almost forgets where he is.

But he remembers and forces himself not to reach for Nyx because he knows that this will be taken from him too. That his Guide, something that he never thought he would find, will be taken from him like everything else and Ardyn doesn’t know what he’ll do when that happens.

This all happens rather quickly, I would think.

I’m laughing– basically YES! Especially the first time (ie leading into Shining Eclipse aka that fragment I wrote where Kaito shows up in that world where Kisuke actually HAD a son who died via Mayuri) when it was entirely on accident.

People in Kaito’s home universe are… not exactly having a Great Day XD
