Oh, totally. That’s a thing that happens, because Gladio may be reckless, but he’s cautiously reckless and only reckless when needed or when his temper gets the best of him. But the others, the others are just reckless.
Also when Aeon does do something reckless, it’s completely off the walls reckless, it’s so reckless that Gladio at one point probably has to sit Aeon down and lecture him about how there are people that care for him and what do you think we would do without you?

She got arrested some 5 minutes after they posted something leaked anonymously, and due to the case being filed under the Espionage Act, she’s not allowed to even really present her case to a jury in any meaningful way. It’s fucked and needs to be talked about more
Reminder that she was only caught because the Intercept outed her either through genuine incompetence or deliberate malfeasance and it should rarely be trusted as an objective news organization for a whole bunch of other reasons.
Yeah the printer dots thing was absolutely spectacularly incompetent on their part, but that doesn’t change the atrocious precedent her detainment is setting. Often they can skew liberal and don’t always have the best analysis/pick of writers, but i don’t know of anything in particular that would paint them as especially untrustworthy?

Winner, the 26-year-old former National Security Agency contractor accused of leaking a top-secret government report about Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, is scheduled to face trial on Oct. 15. Her case has attracted international attention, as she is the first person to be prosecuted by the Trump administration on allegations of leaking.
The former Air Force linguist has garnered impassioned support from the left and rebuke from the right.
Winner has pleaded not guilty. She is being prosecuted under the Espionage Act and faces 10 years in prison and $250,000 in fines.

Was poking around at a few old ideas - specifically, the one where Nyx and Cor were, somehow, turned into a Coeurl and a Lion, respectively.
Just - playing around with the mental image of Nyx and Cor being cursed in a manner that has nothing to do with Ardyn. Perhaps they’re out on a mission when they get transformed by -
Hm.
Perhaps they stumbled, quite by accident, across information. Information on a certain prophecy, information on the Chosen King, information that, if it were to be made known, could put a significant spoke in the wheels of destiny. Information that the Astrals cannot allow to become even more widespread then it actually is - so the two men must be silenced. And yet they are and remain loyal servants of the Lucis Caelum bloodline; death would be an unkindness, and so - as a compromise, they are cursed instead.
I’m tempted to say they’re cursed by Shiva. Of all the Astrals in the game, she’s the one who demonstrates a talent for shapeshifting.
So Nyx and Cor are a coeurl and a lion - unable to communicate, unable to get too close to other people without said humans screaming and running away from the two wild cats, unable to communicate the information that Regis and Noctis desperately need to know - except.
Except, somehow, somewhere, they come across Ardyn. Ardyn, who knows the taste/feel/sensation of a Divine Curse. (He’s labored under one for millenia himself, after all).
Ardyn, who is intrigued.
