because Loqi would. Because Loqi would do that in front of Cor and the four alphas(Noctis and co) that are actually trying to court Aeon. Because as soon as the words are out of Loqi’s mouth Aeon himself launches himself at Loqi and Aeon has to be restrained by like, Gladio.

(Because a part of Aeon still feels like bonding with an Alpha is too much like a cage. Too much like being tied down and that’s why it takes so long for Noctis and Co. to bond with him.

So having an alpha that he doesn’t trust proclaim that Aeon belongs to him. well, that would send off a ton of alarms in his head and he would snarl and try to beat the shit out of Loqi.)

Oh my god. He would. He’d flip from being really angry at Bahamut to a statement on all of the birthdays he had missed and how he promised to make it up to Nyx. Everyone around them is really confused, assuming it’s just a joke, but Nyx - who knows how much of a troll his dad could be and that the man is actually completely serious - is just sort of like yells “Father, no. No. Dad!” at Ardyns retreating back.

Because Ardyn does sort of mean it as a joke, but he’s also completely serious and a giant troll and finds everyone’s reactions to the two of them far too hilarious to correct anyone’s assumptions.

And then Ardyn starts leaving him gifts literally everywhere. Nyx tries to get him to stop but, well. He missed his dad, the extravagance is normal for him, and honestly, he’s never been able to get him to do anything that he didn’t want to. 

(The stuffed animals were sort of hilarious, if a bit embarrassing because he wasn’t 10 anymore. The Galahdian spices and fruits were carefully hoarded and stored, making Nyx the envy of all the Galahdian refugees. He tried to draw the line when Ardyn came back with an entire pack fo Coeurl cubs - but the way that he just sort of cooed at them and cuddled with them made it less effective. Especially when he starts training them and treats them like his children despite the horrified reactions of all of the Lucians.

He does draw the line when Ardyn takes over Niflheim and hands it to him. He really doesn’t want to run an empire - being a Prince way back when was bad enough, let alone the Crown prince. Fuck that shit.)

I don’t think I’ve written an Astral Noctis fic? I mean I’ve outlined one. Which fic are you thinking about?

They would be the kindest Pantheon. Nicer too, but that will depend on your actions. More involved than the six, I would think.

Noctis would like be Bahamut - the leader. The fighter. He would be kinder than Bahamut and not… wait for 2000 years to fix a problem. He would be a very good Astral, but he would hate it so much. He just want to be normal, and now he’s a God? Rude. At least everyone is here. And he thought people couldn’t worship him (the Chosen King, The Dawn King) even more (I know I wrote Cor as Bahamut and it suits him, but it just suit Noctis better. Can there be two Bahamut type Gods? Because yes. This is Cor.)

Regis would be Ramuh. Wise and old and Kind. And if you need to prove yourself to him, it would be something other than fighting. There are so many good ways to prove yourself, and fighting strength is not always the thing you need. (I also see Regis as someone who can really rage if he needs to, and Ramuh is the storm.)

Titan is Gladio/Clarus. Both people that use strength. A whole lot of it. Titan is also the first God you challenge - as Shields, I can really feel that.

Leviathan? Ignis. No doubt. For reasons other than that sweet, sweet irony. The sea is controlled by the moon - Noctis is the night (this may be a stretch) and the moon is part of the night. Ignis can be caring - he looked after Noctis so much. But then, he would burn down the world for him, and the sea can be cruel.

Prompto is Shiva. Snow is playing and fun, but it is also death and danger. I feel like that describes Prompto very well.

Drautos is Ifrit. Traitors, the both of them. Drautos is the slow burn of anger, of forgetting to blow out a candle and it burning your house down. Both Ifrit and Drautos died trying to do what they wanted to do - and both of them didn’t succeed.

All of them would hate being Gods so much! None of them are people who look for things like immortality.
