in the good omens tv show there are terry pratchett books in the bookshop and a soldier is seen reading a neil gaiman book. this means that neil and terry both exist in the universe where the plot of good omens takes place and are both published authors like in real life, which would of course naturally lead to the assumption that this is a universe where neil and terry just never got together to write good omens. HOWEVER. remember that time neil talked about a radio interview where the interviewer thought good omens was a non-fiction book and neil and terry were two religious nuts who had written what they thought would happen at the end of the world, and they both just went along with it? well, what if this were actually the case? what if, in the universe where good omens takes place, neil and terry WERE fact, while still respected published authors, a pair of religious weirdos who wrote a completely accurate account of the events culminating in armageddon?
tl;dr: in the good omens universe, the book “good omens” exists, but is an agnes nutter-levels of accurate book of prophecy detailing how the world will, or more specifically, nearly, end.
