so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
okay so i just got my dream job??? a week after applying to it?? and now i’m thinking….maybe this is the good luck post
…..not even six hours later i got an offer of a well paying full time long-term job with free room and board in queens in nyc, allowing me independence and a way to escape an abusive situation and an unhealthy environment

In August of this year, India revoked the autonomous status of the Kashmir region, putting a communication blackout on the state. Kashmir has entered the fifth month of no internet and heaviest militarisation of any region in the world.
India is a secular, socialist republic. This bill is anti-constitutional and against the principles on which the country was founded
Naturally, there have been protests across the country. At the forefront of the protests are students from India’s public universities.
Police opened fire on peaceful protestors in Jamia Milia Islamia University in Delhi, and Aligarh Muslim University in Uttar Pradesh.
Ever since then, the ruling fascist Hindu nationalist political party, the BJP, has been doctoring videos and sending fake news all over the internet, discrediting protestors and labelling them as terrorists
India has already seen too much religious violence, please please signal boost this, call your representatives, make them aware, get them to make statements. The only thing India and itd dictator Modi care about is its image abroad

It became a Tradition. For the youngest child of the main Vitae line to take up writing letters to Ardyn, to tell him what was going on in their lives and the islands at large. Then, as the Ulrics spread and inter-married and the Clans came to together as a loose, inter-dependent whole, it slowly spread to the youngest of EVERY Clan Chief/Chieftess. First those that had heavily intermarried with the Ulrics, then just- the youngest Chief’s child of those that Remembered (because by then all of Galahd was his descendant in some way and all Remembered). Ardyn has the entirety of Galahd’s history post-Vitae’s arrival in ink, all addressed to him, all written by children of HIS blood.
In every Clan, with every part of history, from their youth to their deaths and then on to the next. From the Furia’s stories of the tides and gleeful mainland raids to the Altius scholars eagerly scribbling away about a shiny new idea they had for a spell to Ostium complaining about what their Warptastic Idiot did today to the Arra who poetically describe the jungles in the rain during a long, silent hunt. Even the Bellum, one of the most recent additions, take to writing letters, if only to grouch on about how they can’t BELIEVE an Ulric won the Clan Arm Trial, how disgraceful, even if she WAS awfully pretty with blood in her hair like that and really, it’s almost a pity she was born an Ulric and not a Bellum because she would fit in so much better here-. And so on and so forth, all the way until the day they finally rescue him, finally take him back to Galahd, confused and disorientated and wondering if he’s dreaming.
And no matter what Clan they are, or what point in time they write to him from, all of the letters open with some variation of the line “Hello Grandfather. I wish you were home.”
The first words the then-Chieftess of the main Ulric branch, the nearest direct descendent of the child Ardyn does not yet know he had, says when he steps foot on Galahdian shores are, “Hello Grandfather. Welcome home.”

Actually you know what, I’ve seen “mother nature” personified countless times in media but she’s always like, this flower child hippie mom, like someone who cries when she finds one dead butterfly and looks at humanity’s war and hate like “oh, my poor sweet babies…”
That’s so inaccurate the second you look at how virtually anything has ever survived as a species. “Mother Nature” would be the kind of person placing bets on how long the anthropocene extinction is going to take and already drawing up plans for the thing that will build a new civilization on our rotten remains.
Her wood elf assistant goes over its blueprints, sighs, and nonchalantly erases the bladed acid-spraying dick she’d started sketching before she passed out drunk. That has been his typical work day since the Cambrian explosion.
Folks in notes interpreting this like she’s badass and cool. No. She is someone who perpetually smells like a veterinary kennel and has no filter for info dumping on grotesque topics you suspect are fetishistic to her. She makes you watery, lukewarm microwaved tea and there’s a big hair floating in it from a mammal that doesn’t exist yet.

Okay, so I’ve decided on what the Ostium Clan Arm Trial is for Thrown to Wolves verse and- just- *snickers*. Here’s a direct quote from my notes.
…
Officially it’s one of the only trials that take place in the village rather than out in the wilds, and consists of hunting and magical skill by tracking down five marked Galahdians from amid the crowd and stealing their scarves before they can get away.
In actuality it’s the unholy offspring of Hide and Seek Tag and Ulric Wrangling for Dummies™. The five targets are always Ulrics of varying ages and the real challenge of the Trial is to catch them and get the scarf before they freaking warp away again.
Few things are as humbling or humiliating for a teenage Trial Goer as being outsmarted and outdone by a Warptastic 5-6 year old and a 65 year old grandmother who is somehow still more acrobatic than you in her old age (and also just as Warptastic as the child).
Age ranges of the targets are usually kids 5-12 or adults 35-70. Not teenagers, because Ulric teens reach their peak energy at that point and the Ostium consider it unfair. And also too potentially destructive, to have a teenage Trial goer chasing after a teenaged Ulric. Also nobody wants to see what happens when you have two Ulric Teenagers trying to one-up each other during the Trial, and considering the Ostium Clan Arm is always either the second or third Clan Arm an Ulric comes for, there need to be major contingencies and preventative measures in place to keep the Chaos To A Minimum™.

The kids are easy enough, but imagine, for Ulrics one of the volunteers is ALWAYS one of the best Ulric warpers (a 63 yr old Naenia, silver hair and laugh lines who cackles with GLEE at leading the young upstarts on a merry chase and proving that she’s still got it in spades kthnks) and the Ulric teens groan because they know this is going to be a right pain in the ass and they are NEVER going to live this down.
Me: This. Exactly this. All of the Ostium alternate between groaning (ULRIC WARP TAG. There goes all peace and quiet for the next 48 hours) and cackling (REVENGE LOOK HOW MUCH TROUBLE YOU IDIOTS PUT US THROUGH).
The look on Cor’s face when he’s outdone and led by the nose for HOURS by not just kiddos but a SILVER HAIRED GRANDMA. Priceless.
Regis impresses everyone when he wins in like- the most unorthodox manner. *winks* I think I’ll keep the how a secret for now.
