Morrigan: I have worked my ASS off for the life I had before all this and now you’re telling me that MAGIC is a thing? How is that not a cheat? I feel like this is the biggest cheat code in EXISTENCE. I am an inventory that I can summon at will! Which while useful is just. URGH. 

Morrgian: *lets everyone think that he doesn’t like magic for the above reasons when also he doesn’t like it because USING IT FEELS BAD OKAY. it totally doesn’t help that he finds out that it was a gift from a god and that people expect him to worship said god because what an honor it is to receive magic*

Spoiler: they made a pact never to argue and took self-imposed time-outs when they lapsed. One broke his leg and they cared for him so well it healed perfectly. They planted a vegetable garden and kept their spirits up singing along to a guitar they fashioned from driftwood and a coconut shell.

(Article is weirdly focused on the white guy who rescued them, though.)

Like. I wish I could live that life and so does every other MDZS character. What was LWJ doing in his 20’s? Playing sad tunes. Jiang cheng? Crying. Wei wuxian? Being dead. Sad, sad, sadder! Nie huaisang thrived! He batted his pretty little eyelashes and had this snake man doing all of his homework for a whole decade so that he would have time to plot his demise! And then he Did It!!! Poetic, exceptional, outstanding. Good for him
