Regis et al take one look at Ardyn and. Yep. That’s Aulea’s father; no one else has that unique fashion sense.
Ardyn probably ceremoniously presents both Noctis AND Regis (well, Regis is family now) with their own copies of The Hat and the Coat.
Ardyn, to Noctis: She would have wanted you to have it.
Regis, to Noctis: …much as I hate to admit it, she really would have.
