but what if Newt decides the quickest way to learn bout vampires is to become one himself, so once he figures out Graves is one he just kind of tries to seduce him into giving up and losing control and turning him
Except Graves is like this old, grumpy vampire who’s seen too much shit and hurt way too many people in his life so he took a vow to never kill anyone else again. He lives off blood pockets he “borrows” at the hospital, small animals and pints of blood he buys at the butcher
oh sure, he has anger issues (read: he wants to kill every single human around him 24/7) but centuries of control have taught him not to give in to these urges. Instead he reads, he draws, he writes, he distracts himself and he is all around trying to be a genuinely good person to make up for his past.
and then enters comes Newt Scamander, his new and absolutely not adorable young neighbor whose skin is so thin Graves can’t help but stare at his neck and the veins he sees there and who bites his lips when he looks at Graves and whom Graves decides to invite over for tea wait -how did that happen ?
Newt, who is way too tempting for his own good, and Graves decides he is going to move out as soon as possible if Newt is going to put at risk centuries of control and there is no fucking way Graves is going to do anything to him. Jesus.
At least, that was the plan.
