Emerald and White Diamonds (Chopard Red Carpet Collection)

It’s hella pretty, and I can’t get a good enough look at the diamonds to tell…but I do know that those aren’t real emeralds.
Real emeralds, even the AAA gemstone grade, expensive as fuck, fine and gorgeous emeralds, have lots of natural occlusions. Those stones in that necklace are clear and flawless, which means they are one of four things:
They’re lab-created (inexpensive but generally blah compared to the real thing)
They’re crystal
They’re another type of glass (possibly Czech glass, since they make some of the best)
or They’re another type of green Beryl gemstone.
While all emeralds are beryls, not all beryls are emeralds.
