(cont) I think that Jean might /deliberately/ infect his patient with late-stage StarScourge, super-charge the infection such that they transitioned to deamonhood almost instantaneously, wait until the /deamon’s/ healing factor healed their wounds, and then heal the Scourge. Reverting the deamon back to a fully healed /human/. It would be - painful and probably knock him unconcious for at least a week, but - Jean thinks he could do it. It’s his ultimate last resort.
Ohhh, that’s a nifty idea! Doing things and thinking you can do them are two different things, however.
I can see Jean attempting it though, especially if it was someone he cared about dying. I can see him trying everything to get that person to live and if he has to turn them into a daemon then back again he would at least try.
(Why am I now seeing Jean trying to stop Nyx from dying by turning him into a daemon and then trying to turn him back only-
It doesn’t work, Nyx remains a daemon, a daemon that practically dares others to try and harm Jean while he’s unconscious. Daemon’s I think, are possessive creatures, so daemon!Nyx would be doubly possessive of Jean.
When Jean wakes up, he doesn’t expect it to be a daemon standing over him. He doesn’t expect the daemon to show him affection.
He hadn’t except Nyx to become a daemon in the first place and he-
He wants the old Nyx back. But at this point? He’ll take what he can get.)
