If Candidus is aware at birth, they make sure that their first word is “Dada”, said while looking straight at Regis and beaming. Heaven knows the man will have more than enough grief in his life, so they try to give him as much love and happiness as they can while it lasts.
Their second word, however, is an entirely different affair. There is that one Insufferably Bigoted Council Member that keeps //pushing// for a bill that’ll only benefit the rich and fuck the poor.
Candidus is in Dada’s arms, one social event ball, and Insufferable Bigot tries to push again; Candy makes an odd noise to shut them up, looks straight at them as intensely as they can, and //enunciates//:
“BITCH”
Everyone close enough to hear falls silent, and soon the rest of the room follows. Regis looks dumbstruck, so does Aulea. Clarus’s face is doing Something, and Cor looks like someone just landed a nasty right hook to his jaw. Internally, they are at war with themselves, trying to be Horrified, Proud, and Cackling Like Loons all at the same time. Externally, they just look Scandalised.
Meanwhile, the Insufferable Bigot is throwing a //Bitchfit// at being called out by a toddler. Cor has to bodily drag them out, last they try to do Something to the prince. They get banned from the council for that, though, and Candy is smug as smug gets, because they did GOOD.
tl;dr: Candidus is a Little Shit, plots to overthrow Insufferable Bigot Counsil Member and succeeds.

I GET THE FEELING HE’S SUCH A LITTLE SHIT AND I LOVE IT
I get the feeling that Candy would get along Very Well with Uncle Ardyn.
Ardyn: When the student is ready, the master will appear.
Candy: Teach me, oh master of snark! Of trollishness! Of being unsufferabley smug and getting away with it.
Ardyn: We are going to have such fun together.
Candy and Ardyn exchange smiles.
The world shivers.
