Naps.

Naps are good.

The omnipresent haze and general ache of tiredness has just vanished. I feel like someone’s defragged my brain.

screams i answered this but tumblr glitched so HERE WE GO AGAIN

Idea: its that one au where the lovers of the LC’s wind up in outfits that look like they were pulled from portraits of former consorts and whelp thats because it was

but also also Cor was supervising a joint glaive and guard training session and now he and nyx are- well- not in combat ready outfits to say the least

(cor is going to kill his sometimes lover (read: Ardyn) cor is going to kill him)

(nyx is ??? cor what is GOING ON and once Nyx gets an explanation he WANTS ONE FROM ACE PLEASE.)

(Ace meanwhile phoned his uncle as soon as he heard what happened and all he got was a chuckle and a dial tone after he finished explaining. Ace is a worry. Ace feels all the dread. He gets to the Citadel and finds that Ardyn has absconded with Cor. Ace hates that he has an idea what his uncle is doing.)

“Ramuh strike me down,” Ace whispers as he’s told of how Lucis Caelum’s have a tendency to gift their lovers pretty things, “It’s genetic.”

Regis smothers a laugh. “That’s not the half of it,” he tells his newfound son and then continues, “There is also a tendency to, how should I put this, mark them as yours.”

Ace groans and puts his head in his hands.

Besides him, Nyx has flushed a lovely shade of red and tugs at the high collar of his uniform as though it will help hide the hickey that Ace purposely left in an area the collar wouldn’t cover.

“Now, there is also generally a time in the courtship where one gets rather- possessive- of their chosen lover.”

“What are we?” Ace interrupts raising his head to look at his father, “Dragons?”

Cor stares at Nyx.

Nyx shifts uncomfortably, wondering why he can, for lack of a better word, feel when Cor is nearby.

“So,” Cor says, voice neat and sharp, “Who’s your husband?”

Nyx blinks. “How did you know I am married?”

Cor stares at Nyx longer this time.

“You don’t know,” Cor says, and his voice is a mixture of amusement and incredulity, “Has your husband ever told you? Does your husband even know?”

“Know what?” Nyx demands.

Cor is silent for a moment. “Alright,” he says eventually, “Call your husband, we are going to have a talk.”

Here is the place. These stone lions looked at her.

They seem to move in the shifting light.

It was here. This is where she stood. These stone lions looked at her; now they no longer have heads. This fortress - once impregnable, now a pile of stones - was the last thing she saw. A long-forgotten enemy demolished it; so did the centuries, sun, rain, wind. The sky is still the same, a deep blue block, high, vast. Nearby, the giant fitted-stone walls which, today as in the past, point the way to the gate, where no trace of blood can be seen seeping out from beneath. Point the way into the darkness. Into the slaughterhouse. And alone.

Keeping step with the story, I make my way into death.

“Nothing in heaven or earth could have forced me to reveal my secret. My envy of Helenus ended as everything ends: when, I do not know. My zeal to impart new questions to mankind subsided, disappeared. I kept my secret. There are secrets that ravage you, and others that make you stronger.”

Oh I love it!!

Central 46 tries to hand down the decree that Ichigo must marry (and even has a few possibilities picked out for her, each less appealing than the last somehow) and Ichigo is like “i think the fuck not” and immediately goes to find one of the few people she’s pretty sure she could stand spending eternity with.

Kisuke and pretty much everyone else is goddamn blindsided.
