yesssss!!! i…was just struck by this idea that Carbuncle is the one that finds her. He finds a thread of a destiny, of fate or whatever you want to call it, connecting her to Noctis and he goes looking.
And he finds her sitting at a potters wheel and with muddied clay stuck to her arms and on the smock she’s wearing. For a long time Carbuncle just watches. Watches her work in a room he knows is in Insomnia’s art university. Carbuncle watches and he can feel the magic boiling under her skin, can see how she’s shut that part of herself off and locked it away. Carbuncle can see that she’s Noctis’ sister.
That she’s King Regis’ daughter.
So Carbuncle does what anyone who loves their king does.
He goes and tells Regis.
