Leonard McCoy thinks you are absolutely trippin.

Leonard McCoy: patron saint of grumpybutts.

Our Leonard who art in sickbay
Hallow’d be thy Eyebrow
Thy nurses run
Thy physicals be done
On Earth as they are in this flying tin can
Give us this day our daily hypospray
And forgive us our away missions
As we forgive those who pull phasers against us
Lead us not into the transporter
But deliver us from Andorian shingles
For thine is the biobed, the quarantine and the Captain
Now and until the hull cracks and our blood boils in thirteen seconds
DAMMIT JIM.

i think my heart just stopped from how awesome that was

Look. I know he’s high Vor. I know that he’s (presumably) significantly less intelligent then his (in)famous cousin, Miles Vorkosigan. I know that it’s a family nickname, and everyone (including his mother) calls him that - presumably with some kind of affection. I know that it’s not serious, per se.

Still.

I can’t help but think there is something very, very wrong in consistently having Ivan’s nearest and dearest refer to him as ‘the idiot’, even in casual conversation.

I never thought I’d make a post like this, but here I am.

My friend Kelly is 16 and has 2 years to live.

Kelly is an inspiring, artistic, clever and beautiful girl.

She has been diagnosed with Desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) in October 2015. It’s a rare, aggressive cancer that usually begins in the abdomen. It’s so rare that only 20 adolescents in USA are diagnosed with it a year.

Our friend Kelly has been through 9 rounds of chemotherapy but the tumors are close to her liver. The operation is not possible in UK.

THERE IS HOPE.

There is hope in

The University College Hospital @ London, The MSK @ New York and possibly Christies @ Manchester.

The surgery in USA is not covered by insurance and so we have to found it. We need you to help.  We need £1million for this to happen. We have 80 days.  We need help.

Please share or donate at: http://ift.tt/1OiyhqU

there’s a news article about her! (there are a few) http://ift.tt/2b0Gfm4

kelly in her prom dress, she looked absolutely amazing

you know i try to keep this blog on-topic, but signal boost! this article was from june 2016 so this is still ongoing. please support if you can and reblog if you can’t!

Felt the need to signal boost this again. According to this update, the hospital has taken scans and confirmed that they can and will do the surgery, but the family is only at about 10% of their goal. Please give if you can, and share Kelly’s story if you can’t. I can’t imagine what it feels like to know something could save your life but also knowing that you can’t afford it. No one deserves to go through suffering like this. Let’s do what we can to see that Kelly won’t have to, either.

Guys, a reblog can make the difference.
